Soprano Susanna Su is recognized for her exciting interpretations of contemporary scores. Highlights of 2013 include Stravinsky’s Two Poems of Konstantin Balmont and Three Japanese Lyrics in Jordan Hall (Boston, MA) as part of the New England Conservatory’s Contemporary Ensemble, Bright Sheng’s Three Chinese Love Songs, and Oliver Knussen’s Hums and Songs of Winnie-the-Pooh. She was a participant in the Summer Institute for Contemporary Piano Practice, where she made her first foray into electronics with Kaija Saariaho’s Lonh, for which she was praised for her “deeply felt and richly evocative performance” (New Music Box).
